Combined entity to give growing local accounting firms a national reach

Two highly reputable Pennsylvania accounting and advisory firms, Breon & Associates, headquartered in Harrisburg, and
Prussman Goss “PG”, based in Wyomissing and Ephrata, have merged under the banner of the North American Forensic
Accounting PC “NAFA”. NAFA, which had been the forensic accounting wing of PG, will now be home to experts from each
firm. There, recognized leaders in forensic accounting and business valuation will collaborate on major projects
requiring superior investigative services. NAFA, as its name implies, will cross state lines to assist clients in
high-value forensic accounting cases, fraud investigations and business litigation.

Breon and PG had announced their intention in October 2021 to form a strategic alliance to enhance and elevate their
accounting, tax, forensic accounting, and litigation support services. Each firm is still fully committed to
small-town, personalized service. Each will continue to operate as before on the local level, helping clients with
their tax and accounting needs.

Meanwhile, the parent company, NAFA will emphasize forensic accounting and litigation support for larger companies,
including those that are publicly held. NAFA brings together certified experts in the areas of business valuation,
business interruption assessments, wage and hour claim assessments, investigations, and transaction due diligence.
These services are vital to companies looking to prove nonperformance of a contract, losses due to fraudulent or
anticompetitive practices, damages from business interruption, asset valuation and other necessary elements of a
civil lawsuit.

Michael Breon, CEO of Breon & Associates, is now VP of NAFA. Mike has long been an advocate of using advanced
accounting analytics to detect fraud and to build positive corporate cultures that minimize the possibility of
fraud. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Mike is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified
Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). As an authority on fraud detection and
prevention, Mike looks forward to helping business attorneys protect their client’s rights.

“Some people think that fraud against a huge company, or against the government, is no big deal,“ Breon explained.
“Like it’s somehow a victimless crime. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Resources are stolen. Companies
fail, jobs are lost, careers are ruined. The bottom line is, people shouldn’t be allowed to get away with fraud, and
we have the sophisticated tools to stop them.”

Like Breon, David Goss of PG is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. But he’s also certified
in Financial Forensics and is the Founder and VP of NAFA. He’s worked on cases ranging from blackmail and
embezzlement on a corporate level to elder fraud. “Not many people can do the deep dive to find where fraud at a
corporate level is happening. We can. And that’s enormously important today. With inflation and supply chain issues,
some businesses are hanging by threads. They can’t afford to be defrauded.”

W Lee Prussman is the President of NAFA. In addition to leading the firms thriving tax practice, he is a specialist
in business valuations. A co-founder of NAFA, Lee has more than 24 years of experience valuing assets for business
transactions, estate settlements and litigation. “Whether it’s a divorce, a leveraged buyout, or a business
interruption claim, the value placed on an asset is pivotal to the case,”
Prussman explains. “Many cases turn on
expert testimony. Your processes have to be sound; the supporting data must be accurate and easily understood.”
And
of course, the witness themselves must be credible. Lee agrees, saying with a slight smile, “I think our team ranks
pretty high in that department.”

Mike Breon and David Goss have spent much of their careers rooting out fraud and training businesspeople to do
likewise. With NAFA, Breon wants to “help organizations and individuals find justice.” Breon believes there’s wide
demand for the advanced analytics NAFA can bring to litigation. “It’s not just fraud,” Breon says. “It’s all the
ways a party in litigation can be short-changed when calculations aren’t accurate. So, our NAFA team is going to
save a lot of good people an awful lot of money.”
